Welcome to Bela Lugosi University, where zombies, vampires, werewolves, mummies, ogres, ghouls, and other creatures of the night—and of nightmares—learn how to become better, well-rounded monsters. The problem is that even among their fellow students, zombies are treated like second-class monsters they’re victims of vampire fraternity pranks, frequent targets of werewolf sprayings, and are always the last ones picked for dodge ball. At Bela Lugosi U, vampires and werewolves rule while zombies most definitely drool. When they get pushed too far, a group of zombie underclassmen decide it’s time to take matters into their own decomposing hands and end the cycle of abuse. But first they need to work on their vocabulary skills.

Nobody 'gets' the undead more than Mr Browne. He truly sees their plight as one suffered earnestly and silently (though zombies do struggle to speak, but that's not relevant). And with this brief look at the lives of a much maligned group of students, Browne shows their struggle for normalcy and respect with poignancy, compassion, and a few chuckles. In a world where vampires and werewolves can get away with anything, how can a simple-mindedless dead person expect to succeed? Let's face it, I enjoy a good, thought-provoking laugh as much as the next person and this author brings it with the best of them. I will never watch another episode of The Walking Dead the same way again. And I have you to blame, Mr Browne! <shakes fist>Product details

Remedial English For Reanimated Corpses A Short Story edition by SG Browne Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
A fun read, especially this spooky time of year. I really felt for the zombies! Well done, Mr. Browne!
Fun short starring zombies you can't help but sympathize with as they try to navigate campus life among werewolves, ogres, vampires, and all the other monsters higher up on the food chain (so to speak).
I am a big fan of Mr Brown's work and these little short stories give me a quick joy while we await his next novel.
Mr. Browne has done the zombie thing again, and he's done it quite well. The other reviews give a good run down on the plot so I won't get into that but I'll add that there's lessons to be learned along with a few good laughs.
A slight departure from his other zombie work, Remedial English For Animated Corpses still delivers the feel that we know and live from other Browne stories. We'll worth your time.
I really liked the concept of the story.. it focus'd around a 'monster' style universe, chars were written to play the strengths of their social 'group', but in the end, not too bad. I really liked the ending of the story, which I won't give away here, but it builds into what could be a great story..
I love S.G. Browne. Like many of his fans, I will read anything related to Breathers. It's not directly tied to Breathers, but it's still a great dark comedy short story about the lovable undead. Worth a read for sure.
